DAVID WALTMAN  
MUSIC DIRECTOR, EMERALD BALLET THEATRE ORCHESTRA

David Waltman has an international reputation for both compelling symphonic interpretations and a remarkable ability to inspire orchestras to new levels of achievement. Named Music Director Emeritus of Rainier Symphony after leading the orchestra for twelve successful seasons, Mr. Waltman also serves as Music Director of the Emerald Ballet Theatre Orchestra, and Permanent Guest Conductor of the Moscow State Symphony Orchestra in Russia. 

For over two decades, Mr. Waltman has also been a sought after clinician and teacher, leading conducting workshops in Naples (Italy), Seattle, Honolulu, San Diego, Washington D.C, Denver, Tucson, Syracuse, and Annapolis. His current and former conducting students have been directors or officers assigned to numerous elite military ensembles, including the US Navy Band, the US Naval Academy Band, the US Navy Pacific Fleet Band, Navy Band Southwest, Navy Band Southeast, Navy Band Northwest, and the US Navy European Forces Band in Naples, Italy.
