“At EBT’s school, faculty will not only teach students technique, but develop their artistry and confidence, and guide them through the emotional rigor of ballet training. Dance training can be difficult, and there is a long history of teaching ballet with shame, favoritism, and humiliation, but I believe that quality dance instruction can happen without this. Positive reinforcement, inclusion, every student learning and growing, meeting students where they are at … all of this is very important to me and will inform how I lead the school.
”I’m proud to offer a cohesive curriculum, and eager to continue our partnerships with families. EBT’s wonderful team of teachers has diverse backgrounds, but we all share a love and joy in teaching dance. We will work together to best serve our individual students and our school. During this year of change and growth and renewal, I am excited to keep learning!”
